The stigma around cancer is one which directly affects the mindset of cancer patients.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide resources and informational support to those with cancer. We aim to nurture a positive and inspirational environment for cancer patients and their families.
The Cancer Bell
Bringing hope where it’s needed most
“The Cancer Bell” initiative strives to bring hope and motivation to patients in cancer wards all over Australia, being the light at the end of the tunnel which inspires the fight against cancer.
The Cancer Bell is an initiative which aims to bring hope and motivation to cancer patients undergoing treatment. The ringing of the bell signifies the end of their treatment, being a big celebration for patients! Many doctors agree that it is pure joy for patients, their families and staff. It is a symbol that the patient is physically and mentally beating cancer.
At the Fist Up Organisation, our overarching mission is to ensure that patients undergoing chemotherapy are given hope to strive towards completing their treatment, an integral milestone in their cancer journey. Ringing the cancer bell is an achievement which brings joy and pride to the patients who participate, sharing a special moment amongst family and friends to celebrate their strength and resilience.
Fist Up Organisation believes that every cancer patient should experience the exhilaration of ringing The Cancer Bell. We strive to ensure that all hospitals and cancer care wards, throughout Sydney and NSW, have bells situated and available for patients to ring.
“The bell is a symbol of hope for everybody on the day that you ring that bell. If you have that opportunity, ring that bell loud for everybody that has supported you. And for every other person who has to follow in your footsteps in that journey.”

Cancer Care Packs
Comfort on the road to recovery
The Fist Up Organisation’s “Cancer Care Pack” initiative aims to bring comfort to those fighting cancer, providing them with information and items to help prepare them for undergoing treatment.
Due to the stigma around cancer, it is often the case when someone is diagnosed with cancer they are unaware of what to expect mentally and physically during treatment.
“The stigma around cancer is one which directly affects the mindset of cancer patients.”
At Fist Up, we aim to break down this stigma, offering a compassionate hand in the fight against cancer. Aiding with this mission, we have launched the Cancer Care Pack initiative to show compassion and provide comfort to cancer patients all over Australia.
The Cancer Care Packs provide products and information, as well as a generic list of things most cancer patients may experience during treatment, preparing them for the road ahead and reminding patients they are not alone in the fight.
Vouched for by a number of previous cancer patients and medical experts, the items in the Cancer Care Packs have been personally selected for their properties which help ease the discomforts and side-effects associated with treatments. These include and are not limited to, moisturisers and lip balms with healing properties, juices and nutritional items, and many more items to help bring comfort.
These packs will be handed out to cancer patients in chemotherapy wards by Fist Up Organisation or by general enquiry.
